The short version: CamProbe does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of ours involved. The only network activity is the app talking directly to IP cameras on your own local network — nothing ever leaves that network, and nothing is sent to us.
Nothing. CamProbe is a one-time-purchase utility with no backend server, no login system, and no cloud sync. We do not operate any servers that receive your data, because the app never sends any data to us.
CamProbe's job is to discover and diagnose IP cameras. To do that it works entirely on your local network: it broadcasts an ONVIF WS-Discovery probe to find cameras, sends ONVIF requests to a camera to read its stream URL, opens a TCP connection to test whether the camera's RTSP port is reachable, and plays the camera's RTSP video stream. All of that traffic goes straight from your device to the cameras you connect to. It never leaves your local network, and it is never routed through, logged by, or visible to us.
Any camera usernames and passwords you enter are stored only on your device and are sent only to the camera you are connecting to, as part of the standard ONVIF / RTSP authentication that camera requires. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
You may optionally save a snapshot of a camera stream to your photo library. The image is captured and saved entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to any server.
The app does not use the microphone, device camera, contacts, location, or notifications.
Everything the app stores — your saved cameras, credentials, and preferences — lives locally on your device only. It is never uploaded. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it.
There are none. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking. We do not use cookies or device identifiers for tracking.
CamProbe is a paid app (one-time purchase, no subscriptions). The purchase is handled entirely by the App Store / Google Play; we receive no personal or payment information from it.
CamProbe is a technical utility. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
