The short version: PrintDoctor does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of ours involved. The only network activity is the app talking directly to receipt printers on your own local network — nothing ever leaves that network, and nothing is sent to us.
Nothing. PrintDoctor is a one-time-purchase utility with no backend server, no login system, and no cloud sync. We do not operate any servers that receive your data, because the app never sends any data to us.
PrintDoctor's job is to test and fix ESC/POS thermal receipt printers. To do that, it opens direct TCP connections from your phone to printers on your own local network (typically port 9100) — only to printers you explicitly add by IP address or discover with the in-app scan. That traffic is print commands and test data going straight from your device to your printer. It never leaves your local network, and it is never routed through, logged by, or visible to us.
You may optionally pick an image from your photo library to print as a receipt logo. The image is processed entirely on your device and sent only to the printer you chose. It is never uploaded to any server.
The app does not use the microphone, camera, contacts, location, or notifications.
Everything the app stores — your saved printers, codepage settings, and preferences — lives locally on your device only. It is never uploaded. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it.
There are none. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking. We do not use cookies or device identifiers for tracking.
PrintDoctor is a paid app (one-time purchase, no subscriptions). The purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store; we receive no personal or payment information from it.
PrintDoctor is a technical utility. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
